First HalfĀ
The Golden Eagles had a perfect start to a sun-drenched early evening kickoff in Oconomowoc when Isaac Ishmon combined down the right flank to get passed Bobcat defenders before feeding Max Rebori for a first-time finish in front of goal in the game's second minute.Ā
The away side never looked back, controlling the possession and providing plenty of goal-scoring opportunities. Rock Valley's second soon followed in the fifteenth minute when Landon Weishaar converted a first-time finish of his own. Sitting on the back post, Weishaar chopped a low-driven service from Jovanni Ramos who escaped to the bi-line with quality service and distribution from the Golden Eagles' backline.Ā
Chances flowed as halftime neared, but it was Isaac Ishmon's driven far-post shot that managed to sparkle the night's highlights. In his first start for the Golden Eagles, the sophomore transfer was able to find himself wide, took a clever touch to elude two Bryant & Stratton defenders, then drove inside to set himself up for a shot on goal. The winger delivered a far-post rocket to push the score to 3-0 into the break.Ā
Second HalfĀ
The second half started much as the first with Rock Valley establishing clear possession and control of the game's entire flow. The Bobcats struggled to get out of their own half for much of the night, thanks to a great deal of defensive pressure the Golden Eagles were able to establish.Ā
A few empty long-range attempts finally gave way to a few close-range clear-cut chances, but it wasn't until the 72nd minute Rock Valley could increase their lead. Taylor Sowell converted a Weishaar helper just in front of goal to push the lead to 4-0.Ā
The lone blemish to the evening for Rock Valley came on a 87thĀ minute conceded penalty.Ā
