MATCH REPORT 

Rock Valley dominated Richard Daley in a blowout Tuesday evening. The Golden Eagles found the back of the net an eye popping 7 goals to cruise to a shutout victory. The win pushes Rock Valley to 10-5-1 on the year. 

In the win RVC controlled all facets of the match they were able to take 22 shots with 16 of those being shots on goal, compared to only 6 shots and a bleak 2 shots on goal for the bulldogs. 6 different Golden Eagles were able to capitalize for goals. It was a true team effort as 6 of 7 goals came off assists.  

First Half 

The Golden Eagles gave fans something to cheer about right from the start as Max Rebori was able to convert a penalty kick in the 3rd minute of the match. Rebori and the Golden Eagles did not stop to celebrate as Rebori found the net 18 seconds later off an assist from Landon Weishaar. The domination started quickly and continued for the rest of the match. Later in the half Brayan Cuevas-Tapia added another goal for RVC off an assist from Victor Ibarra. However, the Golden Eagles were not finished as Landon Weishaar capped off the 1st half with another goal coming from Max Rebori. Rock Valley was well in the driver's seat as they headed into halftime 4-0. 

Second Half 

The second half was much like the first as RVC tallied 3 more goals to put the finishing touches on a dominating match. Sam Herrejon started the scoring in the second half off an assist from Luis Hernandez in the 57th minute. RVC was able to add another goal in the 76th minute by Kendall Gilkey off an assist from Jorge Leon, and in the 86th minute Isaac Love found the back of the net for the final time after an assist from Alfredo Jimenez. The Golden Eagles also earned a shutout on the defensive side of the ball with Daniel Angeles-Medrano saving both Shots on Goal from Daley. The 7-0 victory was the largest margin of victory for Rock Valley this season.

The Golden Eagles improved to 10-5-1 overall and 9-4-1 in region 4 play. Richard Daley falls to 1-10-3 on the year. The Golden Eagles have no time to celebrate, they return to the pitch today 10/18/23, as they resume the final 43 minutes and 5 seconds of their game against Black Hawk College in a game that is tied 2-2. The game will restart on Rock Valley's campus at 3:15 today.
