Box Score The Golden Eagles improves to 3-1 on the year against a Region IV DII opponent Blackhawk College. RVC outshot Blackhawk 25 to 10 but failed to convert a majority of their 17 shots on goal. Blackhawk Goalkeeper #00 Jazmine Cunningham coming up big with 15 saves on the night. RVC opened the scoring early with a total team goal. RVC won possession found the feet of their goalkeeper allowing the center backs to split and start the build up. Center back #24 Julia Theien found the central midfielder Ingrid Sanchez who switched play to outside back #9 Olivia Gomez dropping the ball back to the center back #12 Jamari Zawlocki who found the run of RVC forward #5 Natalie Pacheco who held up play in the channel and slipped #11 Sofia McLaughlin in behind the Blackhawk backline. McLaughlin using her pace to beat the backline and finished past the goalkeeper. Blackhawk added a couple goals against the run of play and added a penalty kick to bring the scoreline to 3-1. Right before the half #5 Natalie Pacheco found the back of the net from a ball #1 Isabella Garrelts into the Pacheco's diagonal run and was able to beat two players down the channel before cutting inside beating the goalkeeper and finding an empty net. The Blackhawk goalkeeper did well on several shots and a few 1v1 saves to keep the deficit at 1 going into the half.
 
The Golden Eagle's started the second half raising the intensity and creating chance after chance. The tying RVC goal coming through #1 Isabella Garrelts as she received a perfectly weighted ball played across the back-line from #10 Jackie Aranzolo. Blackhawk extended the lead off of a freekick from distance. Shortly after RVC answered with goals from #5 Natalie Pacheco assisted by #6 Liliveth Mendoza (5 assists on the season). Shortly after the winner coming through #13 Stefanie Monsavais assisted by #1 Isabella Garrelts (5 assists on the season). Freshman goalkeeper #0 Neema Tamang recorded her third win in goal with 7 saves. Coach Kevan Watkins commented on the win, "we are a bit frustrated giving up the goals we did, Blackhawk took their chances and really put us under a bit of pressure. Although, we continue to create a majority of chances in games we have to be more clinical in front of goal. I am hopeful that this will be something that we capitalize on as the season progresses."
 
The Golden Eagles will take on Region opponents Lake County College in a double header on Saturday September, 10^th 2022. Women will play at 12:00 PM and men at 2:00 PM
