RVC baseball is in full swing. the Golden Eagles completed their spring break trip earlier this month with a trip to Arkansas and Texas where they competed against NJCAA D2 teams and nationally ranked NJCAA D3 teams. The Golden Eagles currently sit with a 5-11 record on the season, winning 5 of their last 6 games.

As a team the Golden Eagles rank in the top 15 nationally in several categories. They are Top 15 in stolen bases, hits, home runs and total bases. They rank Top 10 in doubles and extra base hits. Tyler Horton leads the team in batting average with a .444 and 20 hits. Payton Matthews leads the team with 16 RBIs, 3 home runs and 7 walks. Evan Tocmo and Lucas Rick are tied on the team with 6 doubles a piece. Steven Kleyhegg leads the team in innings pitched with 11.1 so far on this young season. AJ Hamilton leads the team in strike outs and has a K/9 ration of 14.09. Kaileb Lyon has been good in relief for the Golden Eagles with a 0.00 ERA in 7.2 innings.

The Golden Eagles are back on the diamond Saturday vs Kankakee CC. They will play a double header with the first game starting at 2:00pm.
