Rock Valley currently sits fourth in the playoff picture, but sits just four points ahead of Moraine Valley for the final spot. With the two set to renew on Tuesday to finish their lightning-suspended September affair, Rock Valley looks to secure their playoff fate against a Waubonsee team still in the hunt for a chance to earn a home match in the quarterfinals at the end of the month.
 
For Rock Valley, it is as simple as win and clinch the final playoff spot. The importance of their result against Waubonsee rests on their ability to finish second or third in the standings.
 
Rock Valley enters the game winners of their last three matches after dispatching Richard J Daley Tuesday afternoon in a rain-soaked match, 8-0. They will look to stretch it to four for the first time since doing it twice in 2021. Waubonsee enters today 12-3-0 overall and ranked 22^nd in the NJCAA national polls. Waubonsee is coming off a split week, losing 4-1 to Morton at home Tuesday before finishing a suspended game of their own 7-1 against Elgin on Thursday.
