The men's basketball team is off to a hot start with a 3-0 record after dominating McHenry County last night in the home opener. The Golden Eagles started slow but find their groove early after the first five minutes of the game and never looked back. They lead at the break 38-25, early into the second half they pushed that lead all the way to 30pts with ten minutes remaining. As the final buzzer sounded the Golden Eagles managed a twenty three point victory, 86-63 final.
Coach
Tyler Bredehoeft had this to say about the game, "We started slow, really slow. I think it had a little bit to do with us trying to do too much in the beginning and little bit of tired legs as this was our third game in six days. We finally got it rolling mid first half and took care of business. Happy with how the guys have played over the past week and especially tonight."
The Golden Eagles were lead by
Nick Pierson who finished with 20pts. Also in double digit scoring was
Malik Marshall with 12pts and
Aleksa Markovic with 11pts.Â
