The Golden Eagles finished off the Bobcats late last night around 11:30pm. The Golden Eagles and Bobcats battled late into the evening last night, with a finish that created some excitement in the gym. The Golden Eagles found themselves on defense in the final seconds holding on to a 2pt lead. Ultimately as the buzzer sounded the Bobcats missed a layup that could have sent the game into over time. The Golden Eagles escaped with a win to move to 2-0 on the young season.
RVC was lead in scoring by
Aleksa Markovic and
Jackson Copley with 14pts a piece. Markovic would nail four 3pters in the game, finishing 4 of 7 from behind the arc.
Chris Burnell was the other Golden Eagle in double digits with 12pts. Burnell also grabbed 6 rebounds and lead the team in assists with 4.
The Golden Eagles kick off their first home game of the year tomorrow night at 7pm against McHenry County.
