Over the weekend the RVC men's basketball team traveled to Carl Sandburg for a 3pm tip-off. The Golden Eagles held an early 17-13 lead with 10 minutes remaining in the 1st half but it would not last. Carl Sandburg finished the half on a 32-9 run, heading into the half up 45-26. The teams played even in the second half before RVC eventually lost 79-58. "We struggled offensively in this game, they took away a lot of things that we had been doing well. As a team and coaching staff we struggled to make adjustments early enough in the game to get back in it", Bredehoeft stated about the  game.

Michael McDermott led the way for the Golden Eagles scoring 14pts on 7 of 9 shooting. Ja'Quan Chestnut added 13pts and Brayden Hennis chipped in 8pts. Off the bench Riley Adams went a perfect 3 for 3, scoring 7pts.
