M-Basketball: #2 Golden Eagles Fly Past Milwaukee Tech
#2 Rock Valley College Men's Basketball wasted no time jumping out ahead of Milwaukee Tech, leading from start to finish to cruise to a 87-67 win in Milwaukee. The Golden Eagles move to 19-2 overall, and 4-1 in N4C play.
"For roughly 32 minutes, we did what we set out to do," said Head Men's Basketball Coach
Evan Lavery. "We had a small stretch of basketball each half where we wanted to make some questionable decisions. I love how hard we played, as well as our willingness to defend. It gets no easier down the stretch, and we need to keep building."
The Golden Eagles managed to stretch their lead to over 20 points in the first half before leading 45-30 to enter the break. RVC never led by less than double-figures in the second half.
Elijah Pappas led the Golden Eagle scoring attack with 19 points. He also added 8 rebounds.
DeAnte Barnes contributed 15 points and 7 rebounds. Freshman
Josh Streeter had his best game in a RVC uniform, recording 14 points and grabbing 6 rebounds.
Darius Branch (13) and
Jaylen Jones (10) both reached double-figure scoring.
