Rock Valley Takes Down #7 NJCAA DIII Joliet Junior College On The Road
Rock Valley traveled to Joliet to face off against conference rival #7 NJCAA DIII Joliet Junior College Wednesday to start conference play… The Golden Eagles found themselves in a close battle during the first half of play, but held a 38-32 lead over the Wolves heading into halftime… Joliet made a run to start the second half cutting the lead to 1, before Rock Valley regained control which would propel them to an 81-74 victory; their seventh straight… Rock Valley is now 1-0 in N4C play… RVC shot 53.8% from the field, going 28-52 on the night…The Golden Eagles were led by
Jace Kitchen (Dekalb, IL), who scored 21 points…
Alec Pena (Rockton, IL) scored 13 points, while
Malique Ross (Oswego, IL) added 11 points and
DeMari Davis (Indianapolis, IN) recorded his third double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Harper College is an NJCAA DIII member located in Palatine, IL… The Hawks are coached by Sean Stochl… Stochl is in his first season as coach of the Hawks, where he played for a season, before heading to Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL… Harper is coming off an 11-20 season and are currently sitting at 4-12 overall and 0-1 in N4C play, losing to Wilbur Wright 84-77 on Wednesday…The Hawks are led by Freshman Isaiah Butler (Elgin, IL) who averages 29.5 points per game after joining the team at semester.
