M-Soccer: Rubio, Golden Eagles Weather the Stormers
RVC Men's Soccer got back to their winning ways on the road at Milwaukee Area Technical College. The Golden Eagles (3-2, 1-2 in N4C) edged the Stormers (0-4, 0-3 in N4C) 2-0. The match was called in the 62nd minute due to inclement weather.
"Overall, it was a strong performance by our guys," stated Head Men's Soccer Coach
Frank Horvat. "The weather was bad, but we definitely work to control what we can. We took advantage of our opportunities and were able to pull it off."
RVC was paced in the scoring column once again by
Ricky Rubio. The sophomore scored both Golden Eagle goals for the match in the first half. The first was assisted by
Brock Tikson, while the second was all Rubio.
"Ricky had a nice match," said Horvat. "We lost a couple players to minor injury so we will need him and everyone else to pick up the slack for our team until we are back at full strength."
UP NEXT
RVC travels to Palatine, IL to take on Harper College (2-2, 1-2 in N4C) for a N4C battle. The match is set for Friday, September 9th at 4 PM.
