W-Soccer: #3 RVC Beats Joliet 1-0
RVC Women's Soccer completed the regular season sweep of Joliet Junior College, knocking off the Wolves 1-0 in Rockford.
Katie Grubb netted the match's only goal in the 67th minute.
"We created many scoring opportunities, but we just could not find the back of the net," stated Head Women's Soccer Coach
Carrie Barker. "I think we needed to be sharper around the box and do a better job on finishing each opportunity; however, we played very well defensively and found a way to get another shutout and win."
RVC, the #3-ranked team in NJCAA women's soccer, moves to 9-0-1 on the season while Joliet falls to 3-7-0.
