M-Soccer: RVC Falls Short at Triton
RVC Men's Soccer (5-4-1, 1-4-1 in N4C) hit the road to River Grove, IL to take on Triton College (8-2-0, 5-2-0 in N4C) and came up just short - 2-1.
Triton struck first with Arturo Hernendez finding the back of the net in the 4th minute. After no scoring over the 53 minutes of action, Hernendez found the back of the net once more for the Trojans. RVC was able to chip into the lead with
Alex Gutierrez scoring in the 67th minute, however the 2-goal cushion by Triton proved to be just enough.
"We did plenty of good things in his match, but it just was not enough," stated Head Men's Soccer Coach
Frank Horvat. "We looked better than the first time we played Triton, but we need to not have as many lapses in our play to be able to knock off a team like that."
