RVC Men's Soccer took their show on the road to Elgin Community College and came away with a 2-0 win.

"Tonight's performance was an overall improvement from our Oakton Community College scrimmage," said Head Men's Soccer Coach Frank Horvat. "I feel that we had played a pretty solid 80 of 90 minutes of match time."

Newcomer Brock Tikson netted the Golden Eagles first goal of the season 4 minutes into the match. After a defensive battle for nearly 83 minutes, Adrian Cuevas netted an insurance goal from a gem of a corner kick by Ricky Rubio. Sophomore Nicholas Krahmer added an assist in the match as well.

"Several players had outstanding games considering the season is in its infancy," stated Horvat. "This group has potential. Over the upcoming weeks, hopefully we continue to move in the right direction. I am pleased with our effort, and we all did our part defending. It is always good to start the season with a win."
