The Golden Eagles women's soccer program defended their home turf on Wednesday night with a convincing 9-0 win over visiting Joliet Junior College in their conference opener.

RVC (1-1), who is coming off a 4th place finish at the NJCAA DIII National Tournament in 2014, is currently ranked 3rd in the latest NJCAA National Poll.

Macie Berg was the first to strike for RVC with a goal 1 minute and 6 seconds into the game.  Sadey Jumapao, who would score three goals in the contest herself, assisted Berg.

Briana Perez, Erin DiSanti, and Nicole Fauerbach would all also find the back of the net for RVC and Aryanna Gelafio would join Jumapao by scoring multiple goals (2) which include the 8th and 9th goals of the game.

Assists came from Jumapao, Fauerbach, Perez, Berg, and Vanessa Martinez.

RVC plays at home on Friday vs. Madison College for a 4:00 PM conference contest.
