Men's Soccer: RVC plays COD to 1-1 tie on the road
The Golden Eagles traveled to Glen Ellen, IL on Wednesday and played a tough College of DuPage team to a 1-1 draw.
Adrian Cuevas scored the lone goal for RVC with an assist from
Omar Rivas.  Rivas drove the ball from 45 yards out perfectly into the 6 yard box in which Cuevas beautifully finished with his head to give RVC the 1-0 lead. COD answered back at the 29th minute of the first half with a corner kick opportunity which led to their goal.
Even play for the entire second half and two overtime periods kept the game knotted at 1-1. Both teams had several opportunities to capitalize but neither were able to finish.
"Overall this was a good team performance by our guys," head coach
Frank Horvat said. "It was a tough environment on the road against a quality non-conference opponent and we played well."
The Golden Eagles (3-2-2)Â host Joliet Junior College on Friday for a 4:00 PM kickoff.
