Men's Soccer: Golden Eagles fall on the road to Joliet
The Rock Valley College men's soccer team traveled to Joliet, Illinois on Wednesday to take on the Wolves of Joliet Junior College. The Golden Eagles came up short, losing to JJC 2-0 to close out the regular season.
RVC enters the Region IV tournament with a 8-5-2 overall record and a 5-4-2 N4C conference mark.
At Joliet, the Golden Eagles fell behind 2-0 within the first 15 minute of the game. RVC struggled to get much going in the first half while their defense stood tough the rest of the game.
The second half saw Rock Valley create many scoring opportunities which included a goal that was called back.
"Joliet wanted it more and did a great job of locking it down defensively throughout the game," Head Coach
Frank Horvat said. "Give credit to them for stepping up to move themselves up in the final conference standings."
The Golden Eagles will play Region IV tournament action next week. Opponent, location and start time will be announced on Monday at rvcsports.com
