ROCKFORD, Ill. — Rock Valley College Women's Soccer wrapped up an impressive regular season ranked #11 nationally in the NJCAA, finishing with a 15-2-1 overall record. The Golden Eagles' only losses came against Region 4 opponents #20 Black Hawk College and #17 South Suburban College.

In Region 4 play, the Golden Eagles carried a 38-game unbeaten streak dating back to the 2023 season, which came to an end this year against Black Hawk College. Rock Valley scored 69 goals while conceding just 13, recording 10 clean sheets throughout the campaign. Some of their best performances came against nationally ranked competition, including victories over Anne Arundel Community College—ranked #13 entering the season—and Northeast Community College, ranked #18, at the Midwest Classic in Westfield, Indiana.

"We have put ourselves in a good position hosting the Quarterfinals in front of our fans and families is always a positive," said Head Coach Kevan Watkins. "One of our team goals was always to put ourselves in this position to challenge for the Region 4 Championship."

With their strong Region 4 performance, the Golden Eagles earned the #3 overall seed in the upcoming postseason. This season, Rock Valley set new program records, surpassing last year's 14-win regular season mark. The team's success has been bolstered by an impressive 22-player incoming class blending quickly with the returning sophomores. "We have had a few injuries in the last month but are getting a few players back to fitness before the tournament," Watkins added.

Rock Valley College will host the Region 4 Quarterfinals on Sunday, November 2, at 12:00 p.m., where they will face the winner of the #6 seed MATC and #11 seed College of Lake County matchup.
