Travis Hudson is one of only two RVC All-Americans in baseball. Hudson transferred from Carthage College in 2000, where he was named a First Team All-American, N4C Co-Player of the Year, and led the league with a 1.29 ERA as a pitcher. Following his time at RVC, Hudson was invited to a number of Major League Baseball tryouts and played with the Rockford Riverhawks in the Frontier League. Hudson was tragically killed in 2005, working construction in Florida following Hurricane Wilma.
