Hall of Fame
Cindy Diamond attended RVC from 1970-1972 and was a four-sport athlete in field hockey, volleyball, basketball, and softball for two years. She was captain of the volleyball and softball teams in 1972. She finished her education at Northern Illinois University and in 1976 played professional softball for the Chicago Ravens.

Cindy spent 35 years teaching Physical Education and Health at Harlem High School where she coached softball, volleyball, and golf, and also served as Aquatics Director for eight years.

In her 19 years as head softball coach and an additional six years as an assistant softball coach, Cindy finished with a career record of 438-135 and was a part of 11 NIC-9 championships, 11 IHSA regional championships, two sectional championships, and one IHSA state championship. She was named NIC-9 Coach of the Year eight times, Girls Sports Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1999, IGCA Illinois Girls Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1999 and 2002, Illinois Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1999, and was inducted into the Illinois Coaches Hall of Fame in 2005.

Cindy retired from teaching in 2012. Her sister, Sherry Diamond, was also a part of the 2014 Hall of Fame induction class.
